Heat treatment
Heat treatment
Heat treatment processes annealing (to reduce stress, recrystallization, normalization, homogenization, softening, to remove hydrogen embrittlement), quenching (water and oil bath, nitrogen overpressure), tempering (without and with forced atmosphere circulation), freezing and hardening.
Heat treatment in furnaces without or with the possibility of a protective atmosphere (vacuum, nitrogen, argon, hydrogen, forming gas).
Chemical-heat treatment
Chemical and thermal treatment processes - cementation in powder and gas, nitriding in gas, boriding in powder and using boriding paste.
In chemical-thermal processing it is possible to influence the chemical composition of the surface layer of parts by diffusion of certain elements into the metal in order to increase surface hardness, wear resistance, cyclic stress resistance or corrosion resistance.
